Avinash Patel, MD

Dr. Avinash Patel is the Chief Resident and a third-year Family Medicine resident at Baptist Memorial Hospital – DeSoto. Originally from Dunn, North Carolina, he earned his medical degree from Windsor University School of Medicine and completed his clinical training in Chicago. In his role as Chief Resident, Dr. Patel mentors junior residents and helps coordinate resident education and program activities. His professional interests include preventive medicine, chronic disease management, and quality improvement. Following residency, he looks forward to continuing his career with Baptist in the outpatient setting. Outside of medicine, he enjoys spending time with his family and working on motorcycles.
