Tavleen Singh, MD
Born and raised in Punjab, India. I received my medical degree from Sri Guru Ram Das Medical Institute in Punjab. My clinical journey began with working as a medical officer in the Smile Train program, which deepened my appreciation for global health and the importance of equitable care. My diverse clinical experiences in New York, Chicago, and Phoenix broadened my perspective on modern age patient care and reinforced my commitment to community health. I later worked in an ER, where I honed strong clinical judgment and the ability to remain composed in high-pressure situations. Brick by brick, these experiences paved the road that brought me to my now home, Baptist Memorial Hospital DeSoto.
Beyond medicine, I stay active through the gym, yoga, and tennis, and I enjoy exploring new experiences that challenge me to grow. These practices are not only personal passions but also reinforce the discipline and perspective I bring into medicine. Looking ahead, my goal is to provide heuristic patient care, rooted in helping patients make informed decisions about their health that extends beyond the hospital/ clinic.
