Jahed Bushnaq, MD

Born in Palestine, I moved to Canada at 16 and graduated from Carleton University with a degree in Electrical Engineering, specializing in sustainable and renewable energy. I later returned to Palestine to work as a Market Manager at Careem before moving to Dubai, where I became Vice President of Partnerships at a major bank.
Despite achieving significant professional success at a young age, I felt that my career lacked purpose. I made the life-changing decision to return to my parents' basement and pursue medicine. I earned my medical degree from Washington University of Health and Science, where I developed a passion for Neurology.
Today, I am proud to be part of the Baptist Memorial Hospital resident family, where I continue to grow as a physician and work toward my goal of pursuing Neurology residency at UTHSC.
