Dr. Monam Bashir Awan born and raised in Pakistan. Completed high school and college at Cadet College Hasanabdal. Graduated from King Edward Medical College Lahore Pakistan. In 2007 I moved to the USA and completed my Family Medicine Residency at East Tennessee State University at Johnson City, Tennessee. I have worked in rural Tennessee for 6 years doing inpatient, Emergency room and outpatient services. In 2017, I completed my Emergency Room fellowship with Methodist Health System associated with University of Tennessee Health Science Center in Memphis, Tennessee.
Since 2018 I have been working full time in the Emergency Department of BMH Desoto. I currently am working as core faculty with BMH Desoto Family Medicine Program, providing inpatient care as hospitalist and Emergency room physician at BMH Desoto. I am a member of AAFP, TNAFP. During my time away from hospital, I love to spend time with family, swimming, and doing both road and trail running.
