I was born and raised in Ramsar, Iran, a small coastal city known for its green mountains and beautiful Caspian Sea shores. I completed my medical education at Tehran University of Medical Sciences. After moving to the U.S., I joined the neurology department at the University of Texas in Houston as a postdoctoral research fellow, where I worked on clinical trials aimed at improving care for patients with Parkinson’s and Huntington’s disease. After finishing my transitional year here, I will continue my neurology residency at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center. Outside of medicine, I enjoy playing the Tonbak, a traditional Persian drum that connects me to my culture and gives me a creative outlet. I love hiking and taking long walks with my wife. I also enjoy reading Persian poetry for its deep themes and timeless beauty.
